If you’re a parent or carer of a child or young person with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND), you know how complex and frustrating the system can be. From navigating assessments and support plans to accessing the right help at the right time, you’re often left fighting for the basics.
That’s why I’m hosting a roundtable discussion — to hear directly from parents and carers like you about what’s going on. I want to understand the challenges you face, what support you’ve found helpful, and where the system is falling short.
Following recent conversations with local schools and SENCos across the Forest of Dean, it’s clear that change needs to start by listening to you. Your insight and experience are essential if we’re going to shape a SEND system that works for families.
Everything you share will help inform the wider push for national reform, and I’ll take your views directly to the people in a position to make that happen.
The venue will be confirmed soon and will be fully accessible.
If you live in the Forest of Dean and would like to take part, please RSVP here:
Let’s make sure your voice helps shape the future of SEND support.
