Huge congratulations to Five Acres High School, Dene Magna Secondary School, and Primrose Hill C of E Primary Academy – all recognised as being among the top quartile nationally for supporting the achievement of disadvantaged pupils.
Their excellent outcomes are a real credit to the dedication of staff, the hard work of pupils, and the support of families.
The Education Secretary, Bridget Phillipson MP, and I have both written to the headteachers to congratulate them on their achievements in the 2024/25 academic year and have asked the schools to help share best practice through Gloucestershire’s RISE networks so even more children can benefit.
A huge well done to our local schools for the hard work they do every day to support children to thrive. I have seen for myself the positive difference their commitment makes to pupils across the Forest of Dean, and it’s great to see them recognised nationally.
