On 15th August 1945, Victory over Japan Day marked the end of the Second World War. Today, 80 years on, we remember the sacrifices made by so many to protect our freedoms.
This year, the Forest of Dean will host special commemorative events to honour all who served.
I encourage everyone to join these special events in remembering the courage, resilience, and sacrifice of that generation.
