Travel concerns across the Forest of Dean

I know how frustrating the roads are currently across the Forest of Dean, with multiple works happening at once.

I've been pushing for answers and action on several major issues:

• Wye Bridge, Tutshill – I met with both Gloucestershire County Council and Monmouthshire County Council this week to press for a clear timeline on repairs and, crucially, when motorists will be able to use the bridge again. • Transport for Wales cancellations – Following repeated cancellations between Lydney, Gloucester and Cardiff, I've written directly to Transport for Wales.

They've acknowledged the disruption, apologised, and confirmed engineers are working to return trains to service. I'm now awaiting a full response from the CEO and will keep pressing for improved services we can all rely on.

• M48 Severn Bridge Resurface Trial – I've raised the concerns many of you have shared with me about the planned lane closures on the M48 while the A40 Over works are also ongoing. The Forest of Dean cannot continue to be cut off by multiple major roadworks happening at the same time, and I've made that point directly to National Highways. I'm waiting for their response and will keep you updated.

I am also in ongoing correspondence with National Highways regarding the A40 Over Bridge works. Please see my previous posts for more details on that work.

I know how frustrating this is for you all, and it's not good enough. I'm working hard to secure improvements, better coordination and clearer answers, and I'll continue to do so.
