Letter to the Prime Minister: Supporting 50 Policing and Law Enforcement Leaders

I have written to the Prime Minister in support of Maggie Blyth and 49 other policing and law enforcement leaders, calling for the government to do three things:

1. Examine every lawful option available to determine whether the earlier release of those responsible for PC Andrew Harper's death can be prevented.

2. Establish an additional public protection safeguard in cases involving the most serious offenders whenever future changes to sentencing on release arrangements are considered.

3. Consider victims and bereaved families whenever significant changes are made to sentencing or release arrangements.
