Labour Party Conference Panel
Earlier this week, during the Labour Party Conference, I joined a panel discussion on how unresolved legal issues affect constituents, businesses and public services.
I was pleased to be joined by the Rt Hon Justine Greening, Sarah Sackman MP, David Haynes and Jay Prosser.
We discussed how we can empower communities to access local services that provide timely, appropriate advice and tailored support. From raising awareness and improving education to strengthening collaboration between the legal profession and MPs’ offices, we explored how more joined-up working can deliver more accessible, personalised support for those who need it.
I was grateful to be part of a panel focused on finding practical ways to better support people and ensure they can access the help they need, crucially, when they need it.
A big thank you to my fellow panellists and everyone who contributed to the discussion.
I look forward to continuing to work closely with those involved to expand access to alternative sources of support and help ensure our courts are there for those who truly need them.
