Tackling social media racism and misogyny against female sports persons

I have signed the attached letter urging social media companies to take responsibility for the unacceptable racism and misogyny directed at Jess Carter. No one should ever have to leave these platforms due to such abuse.

Since my election, I have been working hard on a campaign for stronger online safety measures, as it is evident that this behaviour must come to an end.

Social media companies must take responsibility for what happens on their platforms and act urgently to eliminate this abuse. Thanks to Matt Western for bringing the letter together.
