South West Ambulance Service

I take every opportunity to understand how public services are performing in the Forest of Dean.
Today, I spent a full shift on an ambulance with the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust to gain insight into the realities our emergency responders and constituents face. A special shout out should be given to Paul and Teresa, from the Coleford base, who I spent the day with. Their dedication and compassion are second to none and I appreciate them showing me a typical shift with the ambulance.
As your MP, strengthening the NHS is one of my top priorities. I’ll be taking the feedback from today directly to the local NHS board and the Department of Health to ensure we continue to improve ambulance response times and meet the needs of the Forest of Dean residents.
