PROJECT ELTON

2 min read

Since being elected, you’ve told me we need a second train station.

And as your MP, that’s exactly what I am going to push for.

That's why Project Elton starts now.

As I'm sure you all know, a project on this scale brings many challenges, so I will take it in stages.

Stage One: Feasibility Study.

And to get that study underway, I need to hear directly from you.

What would a new station at Elton Corner mean for your life?

Would it make getting to work easier? Help you access education, healthcare or other services? Make it easier to see family and friends? What difference could better rail connections make to you and to the Forest?

Please fill out my survey and tell me: https://the1900creative.wixforms.com/f/7508494084198106118

Your experiences matter. I want to take the real voices of people who live here into the room when I speak to local authorities and government, so decision-makers understand why this matters to us.

And if you're concerned about this project, your contribution matters, too. Fill out the survey, and we will be in touch. Every voice will be heard.

I have already started working.

I have sought support from Gloucestershire County Council and Forest of Dean District Council, written to local parish councils—who will receive my letters this week—and contacted ministers in government.

I won't pretend that this won't be hard; it will, but I am determined to push for Project Elton at every stage, at every hurdle, in every meeting.

So please take a few minutes to fill out the survey and tell me what a new station at Elton Corner would mean for you and for the Forest.

Project Elton starts now.
