I recently visited Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Support Service (GDASS) and had the opportunity to spend time with Heather and Tessa, hearing more about their incredible work.
They, along with the wider team, do truly essential work supporting victims who are experiencing, or have experienced, domestic abuse. Across the Forest of Dean, they provide not just practical help and advice, but also understanding, reassurance, and a vital source of support at incredibly difficult times.
Hearing directly from those working on the front line brings home the harsh reality of what too many victims are experiencing every day and underlines the importance of the Government’s commitment to tackling violence against women and girls.
A huge thank you to Heather and Tessa for taking the time to speak with me and discuss such important issues, and to the whole GDASS team for everything they do for our community.
